Master of violin making

The famous violin making master Dai Hongxiang was born on April 26, 1928, in an ordinary peasant family in Fangshan District, Beijing. He has been smart and eager to learn since childhood, and once served as a primary school principal in his hometown. After the land reform, he went to the city to seek employment and formed an inseparable bond with violin making. Comrade Dai Hongxiang devoted his life to the violin making industry in China. He devoted his whole life to the violin making industry in New China, working tirelessly and tirelessly. Master Dai Hongxiang was a student of the first phase of the Chinese violin making training course organized by renowned musician and educator Tan Shuzhen in 1958. During the training period, I studied diligently and achieved excellent results. After graduation, I became a technical model and industry leader at Beijing Violin Factory and Beijing Musical Instrument Research Institute. He engaged in the production and research of violins, filling multiple gaps in violin making in China. He won first place in the first violin making industry competition in China. In the 1970s, he participated in the formulation of the departmental standards for violin production by the Ministry of Light Industry, which provided a clear framework for violin production in China and made significant contributions to the standardization of violin production in the country.

Chen Jinnong was born in Nanhai, Guangdong in 1929. He is one of the founders of the "Red Cotton Violin" brand. In 1958, he was selected by Guangzhou to participate in the advanced violin making study class organized by the Ministry of Light Industry at the Shanghai Conservatory of Music. He received a three-month special training from Professor Tan Shuzhen, laying a solid foundation for advanced violin making. In 1980, he first participated in the American International Violin Making Competition and became famous. His violin won the Sound Gold Award, becoming the first Chinese person to win the gold award in this violin making competition, which impressed the world with China's advanced violin making. Afterwards, he trained many outstanding violin making talents for our country, personally summarized their experiences through oral narration, and taught them carefully, making his disciples become the elites of violin making in Guangdong and promoting the development of Guangdong's musical instrument making industry.

Xu Fu, born in September 1931, is a national model worker; Senior craftsman in violin design and renowned master in violin making. In 1946, he began his apprenticeship at a violin factory and began his career in instrument making. This comrade once served as the director of Guangdong Musical Instrument Factory and was one of the founders of the Red Cotton brand violin. He has been engaged in the research and production of Chinese and Western musical instruments for 66 years. In 1967, Xu Fu first explored a set of techniques for making high-end violin bows in China and orally wrote quality and technical information for various grades of violins. This comrade has won numerous awards in international violin competitions and actively cultivated violin making talents, making great contributions to the violin making industry. He is one of the founders of China's violin manufacturing industry.
