It's another great season for playing the piano

The golden wind brings joy and harmony, and it is also a good season for playing the qin. October, the golden autumn, is a joyous day, a time of abundance, a harvest season, a good time for harvest, and at the same time, a good season for playing the qin.

The climate in autumn is most suitable for making and repairing violins. Whether it is the procurement and transportation of raw materials, the selection and configuration of materials, the forming and processing of blanks, the assembly and debugging of components, the assembly and bonding of piano bodies, the measurement and adjustment of audio, the painting and coloring of paints, etc., they are all more suitable than other seasons. After enduring the harsh winter, the warm spring, the scorching summer, and the cool autumn, the wood used for violin making has a molecular structure that is closest to a reasonable state, and the natural air drying is almost satisfactory. It is easy to process and not easily deformed. For the renovation and even repair of old and damaged guitars, it is relatively convenient and easy to operate in autumn, with more accurate identification of the crux of the problem, easier to achieve immediate results, and less prone to recurrence. Without the freezing of hands and feet in winter and the sweating of sweat in summer, the climate and temperature conditions for qin makers to engage in the above-mentioned work have been relatively improved, and their mood will naturally be better. The work efficiency will definitely be high, and the product quality will naturally be higher.

The autumn climate is most suitable for the exhibition and purchase of violins. In principle, in order to ensure the stability of violin quality, the storage period from the completion of product production to the official sale of the product should be as long as possible, at least going through the test of four seasons of spring, summer, autumn, and winter. So when choosing a violin, we should try to choose products that have been produced for more than a year, preferably in the autumn of last year, in order to ensure basic quality. Why choose autumn? As mentioned earlier, the molecular structure of wood in autumn is different from other seasons, and the harvested wood is different from the growing trees. The wood that has been thoroughly dried is also different from the wood that has not been completely dried. It is not only a matter of moisture content, but also the root knot is caused by the oxidation and shrinkage of the wood fiber structure, which leads to changes in density, hardness, and elasticity, directly affecting the sound quality (i.e. vibration and conductivity) of violin making materials. Many friends who buy expensive violins often overlook these necessary knowledge, resulting in serious breakage, collapse, glue cracking, and distortion of the violins they receive. These are painful lessons worth learning from. Moreover, the deformation and damage of the piano body are only superficial, and the more critical issue is the unreasonable molecular structure of the wood. The wood fibers are loose and soft, and the capillary pores cannot become uniform and transparent without oxidation and shrinkage. It can be imagined that the sound quality will not be satisfactory. Due to autumn being the peak shopping season, people's wallets tend to be fuller. Even though many qin factories and sellers understand the above principles, if sometimes driven by profit, they often sell products with the essential defects mentioned above to people who are not familiar with them, which is also one of the reasons for the proliferation of garbage qin and brings endless troubles to those who like to play qin.
