The difference between oil-based paint and alcohol based paint

The aging comparison test between alcohol paint and oil-based paint has been conducted in a specialized aging test chamber for paint produced in the United States. The intensity of ultraviolet light and the concentration of ozone in the test chamber are much stronger than medical ultraviolet light and ordinary ozone generators. So the experiment was conducted under accelerated conditions.

Due to differences in paint formulations and resin quality, the results of aging tests may also vary. After calculating the experimental results using the weighted average method, the aging rate of alcohol paint and oil-based paint is approximately 1:3, which means that the aging rate of alcohol paint is much faster than that of oil-based paint.

Note: The final end of the aging test is the occurrence of cracks on the paint surface.

Due to time constraints, the sample size of the experiment is not very large, which inevitably leads to bias. The experimental results are for reference only.
