Performance in violin learning/GMY Vision

1. Master the time

It usually takes more than 1.5 months to complete this work, depending on the students' practice after class. Students have more practice time and slightly faster progress, while students have less practice time and their progress will be indefinitely extended. There is no significant universal pattern in mastery time between children and adults due to age differences.

2. Key and difficult learning points

One of the key and difficult points of this lesson is the learning of the two beat internal notes. Adults have better understanding ability than children. In teaching practice, adult teaching can explain in detail through various methods such as drawing beat diagrams, singing rhythms, principle analysis, and body movements. Students can fully understand it, and the mastery of attachment points can also be extended to the study of notes within one beat and half beat. If children are learning for the first time, it is mainly required to be able to sing correctly, and teaching methods should include singing and body movements. Weakening principle analysis, students can sing and pull correctly. A small number of students encounter difficulties in learning with one beat and half beats, and there are also some students who do not know how to play the latter half of the beat. In my opinion, the reason for this is that it was not firm enough during the early stages of learning. The difficulty lies more in bars 44-46. When playing a combination of half beats and one and a half beats, it is contrary to the regular rhythm, and the problem is more obvious.

3. Pronunciation issues

This work has multiple places where 34 fingers and 12 fingers converge. For an increase of 1 finger, when the A tone is raised, it is mostly on the lower side. In adult education, for this special hand type of mispronunciation, it is mainly emphasized that the fingers are close together. Adult fingers are relatively hard, and it is difficult to correct the position of a certain finger. Usually, it is necessary to put down the piano, memorize the hand type first, and then find the sound on the piano after stabilization. However, there may also be problems such as two fingers pressing correctly and one finger deviation. Most of the time, it needs to be repeatedly corrected and emphasized. When teaching children, it is easier to change the position of fingers. Teachers emphasize intonation more to assist students in memory, and then let students experience the position of their hands on their own.

4. Rhythm issues

In teaching practice, adults have a significantly better understanding of rhythm than children. During adult enlightenment teaching, common note and rhythm combinations will be sorted out for students, and sight singing exercises will be done. At the beginning of learning, children only focus on the basic skills of playing the qin, and then intersperse explanations when encountering new music theory knowledge.

Different methods of explaining music theory, combined with the cognitive level of students in different age groups towards new things, enable adults to expand and extend their already learned knowledge more quickly, and master more new knowledge. And children need to practice repeatedly one by one. And we cannot accumulate too much theoretical knowledge in a short period of time to prevent students from developing aversion.
