Preparation of violin paint/GMY Vision
There are many formulas for oil-based resin paint, and the following is a commonly used formula:
Amber (or Cuban gum) 250
100 milliliters of flaxseed oil
100 milliliters of oxidized turpentine oil
500 milliliters of butanol
When preparing oil-based resin paint, place the crushed resin in an enamel beaker and heat and stir until the resin is completely melted. Maintain at approximately 320 ℃ for a certain period of time, then cool to 260 ℃ -280 ℃. Add dissolved sesame oil and stir to make it paste like. After cooling to 160oC, add solvent turpentine and stir to make it sticky. Then cool to 60oC and add butanol and stir evenly. After the precipitate settles, take the upper clear liquid and use it.
The drying time of oil-based resin paint is slower than that of alcohol soluble resin paint, with good leveling performance and strong coloring power. Therefore, as long as it is applied several times, the desired film thickness can be achieved. The construction techniques are relatively easier than the requirements of alcohol soluble resin paint. However, the hardness and drying speed of oil-based resin paint are greatly affected by heating rate, maintenance time, cooling rate, and oil resin ratio, resulting in significant variability. If the drying speed is too slow, cobalt dry material or ultraviolet lamp can be used to dry it.
