Integration of violin fingerboard and neck|GMY Vision

neck

It is obviously much more convenient to process all aspects of the neck before inlaying it to near completion, rather than processing it later. Before sticking the fingerboard, first trim the thickness of the neck and the shape of the bottom, but the final trimming is completed when the fingerboard is glued or painted again. Novice violinists cannot boldly remove excess wood when making the spinner and neck, as the resulting spinner appears bulky and the neck becomes thick like a wooden stick. Not only is it unsightly, but it also increases the total weight of the piano, and excessive weight can affect the sound quality of the piano.

fingerboard

After completing all aspects of the fingerboard, align it with the center line of the neck and stick it together. Recheck the thickness of the fingerboard and neck together to achieve the standard perfect size. The edges on both sides of the surface of the fingerboard should be rounded to form smooth edges. Then smooth the side of the fingerboard and the two edges on the lower surface together with the neck, and connect them with the oval shape of the bottom of the neck to form a whole. The two sides of the violin fingerboard also need to be trimmed with longitudinal concave arcs, with the lowest point at the fifth position, near the junction of the neck heel and the top of the panel, and the deepest concave being about 0.5 millimeters. The purpose is to enable the performer to move the index finger of the left hand conveniently and flexibly when playing in a high grip position, and to extend the little finger to a higher grip position. But do not trim to the neck of the qin, as the fingerboard is a vulnerable component on the qin that is prone to wear and tear, and there are many opportunities for repair and replacement. The neck cannot withstand multiple trims.

After pasting the fingerboard onto the neck of the qin, embedding it into the neck can greatly help control the projection height of the fingerboard, align the neck with the geometric center of the qin body (middle seam), and improve people's visual judgment ability. After the installation of the neck, the height of the fingerboard projection must be determined before trimming and installing the piano code. When trimming, it is necessary to ensure that the height of the piano stem is just right to allow the gap between each string and the end surface of the fingerboard. First adjust the gap between string 1 and string 4, and the gap between string 2 and string 3 should be between string 1 and string 4. Due to its thickness, intestinal strings have less tension than steel strings, so the gap should be left larger.
